Classical models built from the math you already know
No single pair of shoes is best for every sport. A sprinter's spikes shave tenths of a second off a hundred-metre dash and would be nearly useless on a rock face. Climbing shoes grip stone beautifully and would slow that same sprinter down badly. Neither shoe is objectively better than the other. Each one is built for a specific kind of ground, and that match between shoe and ground is the whole story. Models behave the same way.
